This is Ali in the LA jewelry district, where Lukali & Co started. Walls of chains, findings, and loose stones, and a full day spent picking through them by hand.
It looks like standing around. It is not. Every clasp and link has to feel right in the hand and hold up on the piece it is going into. Ali checks the stones, checks the weight, and knows which supplier to walk to for what.
Those relationships took years to build. The early drives into the district taught us the trade from the casters, setters, and platers who have done it for decades. Every custom piece we build still starts here, with the right material picked in person.
